Contractor Relations: Employee Status

Many clients, especially for long-term projects, are very concerned about employment status and issues like Worker's Compensation and Unemployment Insurance. We handle your 1099 forms and, for long-term contracts, we can even handle conversion to W2 status to take care of payroll taxes and insurance.

Contractor Payments

While some clients pay on 90-day net or only when a major milestone is completed, we pay our contractors on 30 days net, regardless of what our payment agreement is with the client. This means that we don't make you wait until we are paid. Accounts payable issues never enter into the client-consultant relationship.

Liability Insurance

Many clients require professional liability insurance. Specific Impulse maintains a $1M commercial liability policy from The Hartford.

Transitions and Holiday Coverage

When you decide to move on, or to simply take a vacation or holiday, you can make arrangements with someone from our community of trained professionals to replace or cover for you.

Increase Your Reach

Ever wish you could work on more than one project at a time? We can team senior contractors with a more junior subcontractors, freeing up the senior contractor to handle more senior work. Even if you have your own clients, you can bring on junior our staff to help extend your reach and make you more profitable.
